Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. The expression 'mad as a March hare' originated with a fictional character who is distracted and frantic. When were you last 'mad as a March hare' and what was it that made you that way?

Mmmh, I really don't live my life like that.  I'm pretty laid-back and chill.  Even in crazy situations, I tend to have a very level head.

2. Mardi Gras this year falls on Tuesday, March 4th. Have you ever been to Mardi Gras, and if so what did you think? If not, do you have any interest in going?  Purple, green, and gold are the colors of Mardi Gras. Which one is most prevalent in your wardrobe? How about in your home?

I actually just posted yesterday about the one time I did end up in New Orleans and celebrated Mardi Gras. Check it out.  Out of the colors prevalent at Mardi Gras, my wardrobe has the most green. It goes with everything and I really love it.   In my home, there is a lot of green as well.

3. Are you old fashioned?

Old fashioned in some respects and not in others.  I love having my door opened for me, a coat given to me if I'm cold, and being provided for, but I also like to go 50/50 on the housework, being able to work and help provide, and have my opinion heard and not be hushed or just poo pooed in what I think.

4. Do you carefully plan your vacations, or do you prefer the days to be more spontaneous?

I'm a huge planner! I love vacations and love to plan them. I take at least 3 or more of them a year, anywhere from flying out of the country, cross country drives, or just local vacations.  Once I decide where I'm going, I plan some things to do while one vacations, but I don't like to have them totally packed with things to do, because then there isn't any time to just relax.

5.  March is National Sauce Month...what's your favorite sauce, and what do you most often top with this sauce?

Oh my goodness! I'm such  sauce girl! My fridge is filled with condiments.  My favorite is mayonnaise (Best Foods).  I also love BBQ, ranch, and honey mustard.

6.  What's something that easily brings a tear to your eye?

Sappy commercials.  

7. If you could own any sports team, which one would it be and why?

Oh my! I love this questions, but now I have to make a decision.  I love many sports.  How am I going to choose?  I think I would own the New York Yankees, because they have a long standing tradition, good players, and are located in New York!  I also love baseball and sunshine and men in tight pants.

I hate hills and running/walking them is even worse.  I'm training for a marathon and all I do other than work is train.  Typically inside at the gym, but on weekends I'm outside.  And being Spring, it rains a lot.  So this weekends run, may be a bit hilly, but also rainy! Yucck!
