1. The season of Lent begins on March 9th this year...do you participate and if so, in what way?
Well yes. I usually give up shopping for Lent. Or at the very least, think about it twice before I go randomly browse around. We abstain from eating meat on Fridays. This year I might do some volunteering. It's a good instigator of getting me in the volunteer mind set.
2. Traditionally pancakes are eaten on the day known as Shrove Tuesday which is the last day before Lent (March 8th this year). So....butter and syrup? Blueberry? Chocolate chip? ewww, no thanks!! What's your pleasure when it comes to eating pancakes?
I did not know of this tradition. I only like pancakes with butter and maple syrup and only every so often. In fact I actually had
3. Spring is coming. (It is coming, right?) What's your favorite springtime flower and do you suffer from seasonal allergies? Two questions I know, but they're lightweights.
I hope Spring is coming. I actually noticed the birds were chirping the other morning. That's a good sign for sure. I love Tulips. I bought some for my island last week and they are still stunning. I love how the they droop too! Nope, no allergies.
4. "Our opinion of people depends less upon what we see in them than upon what they make us see in ourselves." Author unknown. Agree or Disagree? Why?
Well this is deep. I've read this a couple times and each time I think . . . well, I could agree or disagree depending on who the "people" are we're talking about. I suppose if said person is a close friend then you are most likely to be yourself when with them and if they are a close friend obviously you like who you are when you are with them or they wouldn't be such a close friend. Right. Okay, now I'm confused too so let me just say... Agree. Ha.
5. Since it's "March" and also the season of Mardi Gras....have you ever been in a parade? What's the best parade you've seen?
Well if you count walking behind a Jr. High marching band as part of the parent support team, being "in" a parade, then I have. Ha. I think the best parade I've seen is probably the Disney Parade down Main street. I could sit through that every day. However I must say, the small town of Condon, Oregon puts on a pretty mean 4th of July Parade and is way fun!
6. You would jump up and down and shout for joy right now if someone told you___________?
"You've won the lottery." Ha. Can you say . . . Graduate school for everyone!!! Ha.
7. How clean is your car on the outside? Inside? Is there junk in your trunk?
Well right now on a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being sparkling clean ~ I have to say it is a 5. It's black. Y'all know how hard it is to keep a black car clean? Especially in the winter. I do still love the color though even though the Hubby tried to talk me out of it. I think it looks sexier in black. Ha.
Inside is pretty clean. I have all weather mats which could use a vacuum job. There is "important" stuff in the middle console like gloves and hand lotion and nail file and pens and sunglasses and lots of coins. There are probably
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I'm just a smidge annoyed with my two oldest right now. No response to a FB message or text is not a response. In fact, it's
I think they've forgotten the rule of
I'm just sayin'

I love the way tulips flop over too. I cannot remember the last time I consumed a pancake. I like them but they're heavy and are definitely not figure friendly.
Hope the oldest two shape up today : )
What is it now days with our children??? All I want to know is if you are okay---just text the letter 'K' right? One day they will hopefully understand how we felt when they become a mom!!!! I get so annoyed with my daughters at college-just text me, I will feel so much better and like you said when momma ain't happy, then.....
I've learned two things today--we all want to win the lottery and Disney parades are the best!
Gorgeous tulips! Feel your pain with the 2 oldest.
