Monday Musings on June 2...

Another weekend is behind us.  How was yours?

The week ahead isn't too bad for me.  I see my dermatologist tomorrow morning.  I go every six months because she found a couple of pre-melanomas a couple of years ago.  I just stay out of the sun now, so hopefully she won't find anything this week!!  I have a hair appointment on Wednesday, dinner with our dinner group on Thursday, and that's it. I might get to either do some sewing I need to do or start painting my bathroom.  We'll see!!

 ☺ I do have two good reasons for not getting things done.  I posted this on Facebook yesterday, just to make sure all of my friends understand the trouble I deal with...

On a sad note, when I got home from church yesterday, this is what I saw in front of our homes....

There were five Lakeland Police cars and the coroner.  One of my neighbors, who lives alone, was found deceased.  Neighbor Deborah noticed water running out of Barbara's house and went to knock on the door.  No response to the knock or to her phone call.  Deborah called neighbor Bill, who shut the water off at the street and then looked in the windows and saw her on the floor.  They called 911 and had to wait because no one had a key.  She was gone.  That's all I know so far, but the Police were out there for several hours.  I didn't know Barbara (three doors down from me), but it is still scary, and being alone kinda hits home when things like that happen.  Six people have my house key, and they have permission to come in if they ever think I am in trouble or my cats need help.  Sigh.

I did do laundry and some cleaning over Saturday and Sunday.  We have had rain, so I haven't watered my tomatoes.  A couple are turning red out there, but no more flowers, so I think they are about done.  I still haven't planted my pepper seeds, and am now thinking about putting some basil and rosemary out there.  Maybe another tomato plant, but just one this time.  I had them too crowded.  I have been eating them these past few days with fresh mozzarella cheese and some Italian dressing on them.  Yum.

I am reading a new book and am enjoying it so far.  I don't usually like biographies or autobiographies, but because I love the British show The Repair Shop, I am enjoying reading Suzie Fletcher's book...

I also bought this book in hardcover (Suzie's is on my Kindle).

That's all I have for today. Thanks for your visit!!  Wishing you a blessed week ahead!

Peace and Hugs!

In nothing be anxious; should Jesus delay
His strength will be thine till the end of the day.
His arm thou canst lean on; His Spirit will cheer;
Then, wherefore be anxious, press on without fear.
