Monday and another week is off to a flying start!

Morning readers,

How was your weekend? Did you get the chance to meet up with a couple of people for an outdoor bevy or meal perhaps?

I've a make to share with you today ....... a chance conversation (electronically) with a pal reminded me that I have a number of embossing folders in my stash and cannot recall the last time I used one so ..... my thanks go out to Sarn.

My card
And a closer view of my coloured image panel
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, 6"x6" card and matching envelope
  • Card in white, blue, black and textured blue, cut to fit and mat
  • Darice floral embossing folder through which I ran my snippet of plain blue card, before trimming to fit
  • Aall & Create image and sentiment (both from set #140) stamped using Versafine Clair ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour my image
  • Using a makeup brush I lightly applied Memento Bahama blue ink around the stamped and coloured image before overlaying my Memory Box "grid" stencil (#88517) and adding further Bahama blue ink

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. As You Like It - April 8th challenge - EMBOSSING or STENCILLING (I chose both because I like a challenge but .. I guess it's stencilling for me as I use the technique so much)
  2. Fab 'n Funky - challenge No. 519 - EMBOSSING (wet OR dry)
  3. Aud Sentiments - challenge No. 272 - ANYTHING GOES + A SENTIMENT
  4. Creative Knockouts - challenge No. 397 - ADD A SENTIMENT
  5. 613 Avenue Create - challenge No. 4 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) IN THE GARDEN

And now for an Artist Trading Card, recently mailed to a pal as a swap, I know she has received it - so ......

My Artist Trading Card
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in white and red/orange
  • Stamps used: Carabelle lookalike, Aall & Create set #76
  • Clearly Besotted stencil CBTCL349

Ah your comments made me smile - this is the first time in 3 months that we in the UK have been allowed out to see anyone other than our family members - shops and pubs have only just opened but only for sitting outdoors. It's been a tough old year. Your card is lovely - I love those colours and the delicate background to the flower. Thanks for sharing with us at 613 Avenue Create

This is a beautiful A&C coneflower and love the background stencilling and the pretty colouring, and the blue toned background with the mat and the wonderful embossed layer all go together perfectly Kathy, and the ATC really pops with that vibrant red/orange and love the stencilled edge and another great A&C image over the top with the super cloud stencilling, and just that bit of subtle colouring to finish it. Great photos too and some lovely woodlannd for your morning walk. We had a walk in the sunshine yesterday and although a little chilly the sun is definitely getting warmer. x

Your ATC really packs a punch. Hard to imagine that it is in reality so tiny.
I have 3 tall grungy stamps from this company and have to own up to them never having been used. I can see possibilities for them now though. Hugs mrs A.

Gorgeous ATC Kathy! As Mrs A says, hard to imagine how you get so much lovely detail onto something as small as an ATC - everytime though you hit the ball outta the park! I spotted that you were using Arteza brush pens. I have Ziggies here and wonder if you do too and how you think they compare. I wonder if the Arteza brush pens are more subtle perhaps?
