MORE ABOUT THAT CAT TREE

More about that cat tree ~
So now it's back by the window.

I do admit to liking it here.  Daytime and nighttime.
Sunlight and warm breezes, or watching the city lights.

But, yes, meow.  I'm in the middle.  No top level for me, never ever.
Can't help but wonder ~ could I have been the middle child kitty in my clowder?

No, that's not it at all, June.  There were four kitties in your clowder ...
you're just a strange little girl about some things.

Sorta like not being a liberal and not being a conservative, but hanging out
somewhere in the middle. Reminds me that I heard once upon a time, long ago,
there was a pawlitical party called the "mugwumps",
cause they sat with their mugs on one side of the fence and their wumps on the other!

Cute name, huh? Which in turn, reminds me of yet another story: when I first
moved to DC after college, in the apartment building where I lived,
a "rock band" moved in briefly and temporarily, they were called "The Mugwumps"
and performed at local venues, and practiced on our rooftop deck. The
building had young tenants, all would gather up there to party, listen to their
music ... they were John, Michelle, Denny and Cass.
" California Dreamin' " ~ do you know their real name as fame came?

WHAT IS YOUR COMFORT LEVEL?

Last month, mine Mommy and I took a short break from our bloggie.
One thing she did during that time was some "spring cleaning" and a little bit of rearranging.
During the winter, my big cat tree had been in the corner, away from the window, but now she
planned to move it back to the window where it would get more sun and warm breezes,
and put a small table and lamp in the corner.

SPECIAL NOTE:  I have never, ever, never chosen to sit in the top level of the tree, never!

So, temporarily, my cat tree was moved to the center of the room, while she moved the table,
dusted and ran Mr Dyson around.

So, what did I do?
I surveyed my kingdom from the top level.
I could see all 'way around!
And there I stayed.

While she dusted.  While she Mr Dyson-ed here and there.  Windex-ed this and that.
And there I stayed.

And then she ate lunch.  And there I stayed.
And she cleaned my litter loo box.  And went downstairs to do a load of laundry.
And there I stayed.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
But then we had a little talk.  She stood in front of me.
Me still in the top level ... and she said,

"Junie, I have to move your cat tree now ... back by the window."

"No please, I so like it here, I can see ever-thing, all 'way round! Like never before!"

"Junie, it just can't stay it the middle of the room, it just can't!"

And so it didn't.

(happy for mine Mommy, not so much for me ...
actually, it's not so bad, I like the sunpuddles there
and the warm whiffies on my furs,
but let me point out I have never, ever, never
and will never, ever, never
sit in the top level again!)

MAID SERVICE

When mine Mommy changes the sheets on the daybed,
it takes maybe 10 minutes or so.

When we have "maid service" [a/k/a me, June] it takes anywhere
from 60 minutes to 4 hours.

A CLOSER LOOK

Here's to June.  June in JUNE!

We'll start the day, start the month, with a very ordinary photo ... here I am,
as you often see me, enjoying some window whiffies
and checking out what's going on in my world out there.
Mine Mommy is right beside me, snapping photos as always!!!
Oh, got to look up too.  Things get exciting up above me, and of course,
mine Mommy gets to catch another picture ... that gets her excited, too!

SPEAKING OF EXCITEMENT . . . . . .

. . . . . . did I hear her camera go plunk, did I hear her scream "no June no!",
did I feel her hands grab my furry butt . . . . . .

Sorry, mine Mommy.
Guess I kind of gotcha-ed you there a little bit,
I'll come back inside.
Didn't mean to scare you.

I just wanted a closer look . . . . . .
Now, please get your paws off my furry butt!
