New 'Hood Friends

A fresh selection of 'hood cats, as observed on my walk:
This kitty has a name and a loving caregiver...I've simply forgotten the name!
New to me kitty, who hid under a parked car when I got interested.

Will continue to look for this dilute ginger, and ask any of the cat people I meet if they know this cat.
This threesome are cared for by the same kind people who rescued Eightball (click here for that post).
Eightball, however, is not in the picture.

No cat seemed upset with my making kissy noises and being silly, but who knows what any humans in the nearby homes thought of my performance!

Hankering for Holmes

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, born on May 22, 1859.

Happy Birthday, ACD!
The Sherlock Holmes books and stories made a huge impact on my life, as I read them when I was young.

Am thankful for that, even if much of the British Victorian social mores ACD depicted are unconscionable in modern times.

Indeed, we attended the play "Baskerville" at the Chemainus Theatre, in Chemainus, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island.

Dinner and a show, and both were terrific!

The actors of Holmes and Dr. Watson played only those roles, while the six or seven additional cast members changed costumes multiple times, adding to a tongue-in-cheek humorous take on that terrific novel, "The Hound of the Baskervilles".
Program

Also so thankful to my host ET, who not only put me up in her home, but the "Baskerville" experience was a birthday gift to me! ❤️

Suits to a Tea

International Tea Day is a United Nations observance celebrated each year on May 21.

There are multiple tea holidays each year, but do you blame us tea-lovers?

Well aware that some folks aren't into tea at all, and that's fine, 'cause that means there is more for those of us who drink our fair share.

The best part, to me, is that lots of artists portray cats with teacups, dragons IN teacups, reading books and drinking tea...and these images float my boat!
