Buttermilk Creme Dessert Sauce with only four ingredients, is a quick grab-and-go recipe. So easy in fact this is a great recipe to make with your little kitchen helpers! Even measuring the ingredients is easy. Once made just pop it into the fridge, until you are ready to serve dessert. I like to transfer the sauce from the mixing bowl into a serving bowl at dessert time, for a delicious-looking presentation.
Perfect over berries, cake and even poached fruit.
I have enjoyed this sauce over berries as well as poached rhubarb so many times and loved it each and every time. Last night's dessert was carrot cake, and I have to tell you Buttermilk Creme Dessert Sauce has it all over frosting for cake of any kind! Especially carrot cake...Don't get me wrong, I love a rich creamy frosting on my carrot of cake. Sometimes frosting can be a bit of overkill, but not with Buttermilk Creme Dessert Sauce, dessert will be delicious!
And to prove my theory, I have the perfect One Bowl Carrot Cake recipe to share with you, because Buttermilk Creme Dessert Sauce and carrot cake are a match made in heaven, right after berries and Buttermilk Creme Sauce...or Gingerbread and Buttermilk Creme Dessert Sauce!
