What's Bad for One is Good for Another #MFRWauthor

This topic is not fair. Giving insights into ourselves so our readers see us as a person is one thing. Revealing something that could get us in trouble is another. And what can be a bad thing in one situation is a good one in another.

When I started the self-evaluation, bad habits way too quickly filled the fingers on one hand and was heading for the next hand, then one foot, and the other foot. So what to cover?

Bad Habit #1 - too focused. I've always been detail-oriented and able to focus on the small aspects of a project. It makes for a good researcher or computer programmer. However, due to the miles covered, now I can only focus on one thing at a time. It's not a field of depth has lessened as much as quantity. I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as ever was.

As far as the rest of the possible items? That's for me to know. And be sure to visit the other authors in the challenge.

~till next time, Helen

  1. When you frame your 'bad habits' in such a pretty script there's no way they could be 'bad' ;) Enjoyed your post!

    1. Then my goal was achieved. Wanted to take the edge off of bad. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Like you said, Helen, what's bad for one can be good for another. I love how you phrased this--> "However, due to the miles covered, now I can only focus on one thing at a time." This lady can relate.

  3. My husband hated asking for directions, too. I think that's most a male habit. Don't know why they resist that so much, but they do.

    1. I did get the directions line from observing the men in my life. They'll use a map, and take directions online if I print them out, but if we don't have those won't stop and ask for help. It's a good thing they have the instincts of a homing pidgeon.

  4. Bites the ears off poor, innocent chocolate rabbits? My God, what kind of a sadist are you? ;-)

    1. I had thought of saying 'heads', but decided against it. This habit was prompted by a survey that asked how you ate the marshmallow rabbits. I won't say how I answered it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)

  5. I can definitely relate to wanting to sit on a beach and read!

    1. Wanting to run away to escape our lives or some unpleasant thing is considered by some a bad habit, by others it's called survival. The beach and a good book always felt like sanctuary.
