When I thought about starting a blog, I really wanted to make this a place for us to get to know each other. I want to get to know you as you get to know me. I want to know what you like, what you don’t. What stories would you like to see written? What makes you crazy in books, in a good and bad way *wink wink*. I haven’t been doing a whole lot of that, so this is my mission to get better. This blog challenge will give us something to talk about every Friday, but I don’t want it to be about me. I want it to be about you too, so each month I will be giving away prizes to a random commenter of the blog challenge posts! Sound good to you? Week 1-A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS.
Reading, writing, scrapbooking, visiting family, meeting new people, chatting with friends, making covers/logos/teasers/promos for other authors, mini golf, bowling, coloring, stickers, legos…… I have lots, but the post says a few, so that’s all you get *giggle*
Week 2-HOW MY FAMILY SURVIVES MY WRITING
I am not all too sure that my family IS surviving my new found love for writing. When I get the urge to write, I have to dive in, and I can shut out my entire world while I am doing so. During the editing process, I am not easy to live with because all of my grumpies come to the forefront. I hate editing. It feels so hopeless sometimes, but then I step back and look at the big picture and good edits really matter. So I will suck it up and try to endure. My family? You might want to pray for them. Lol
Week 3-TV SHOWS I BINGE
My thoughts on binge watching… Is there another way to watch a show? I’m a professional binge watcher. If I am stuck on a show, then I will see it through to the very end. At the moment, hubby and I are binging Blacklist, I freakin love James Spader, and my friend and I are binging Once Upon a Time, greatest show around. Any suggestions for where I can go next?
Week 4-“Sorry Editor!” MY COMMON WRITING MISTAKES
My manuscript is a mess when it goes to my editors. I always have to add more detail, more feeling and “show don’t tell.” They tease me because my sexy scenes are a mess. I do NOT like naughty words, but I really want to write naughty books, so therein lies a huge problem. I have been told that my next book, we are going to practice, but I am digging my heels in hard!!!!!
Week 5- Meet my BEST FRIEND!!!
Ok, so as a writer I have so many friends that keep me going, keep me accountable, and keep me sane, and they are always in my pocket… *giggle* What I mean is they are all riiight here…
The only time my phone is not within reaching distance is when I am in the shower. No joke, I have it All. The. Time. So when asked who my best friend is, why pick one, when I can pick all of them. You guys, I seriously have the most amazing friends (You all know who you are). I am so blessed.
My other best friend is a thesaurus, but not just any thesaurus, but this one…
Cara Bristol is an EPIC GENIUS for putting this book together for all of us and it is seriously amazing. I find myself thumbing through it all the time. If you don’t have this book, you need it!

LOL….I’ll play:)
1) My laptop, Kindle, and phone:)
2) I discovered that if I stay in my bedroom and pull out the needlepoint, they stay away!
3) I LOVE OUAT, and had to binge-watch it to catch up with the family:) Just finished all 6 seasons of Game of Thrones and am now onto SE4 of Downton Abbey. Not sure what’s after that….
4) My fingers are dylsexic, so quite often when I get ‘in the zone’, ‘was’ appears ‘aws’, lol! For the longest time, I could not spell ‘tomorrow’….always wanted to throw in that extra ‘m’.
5) My BFF knows that when she picks up her phone and hears, ‘I need you to stretch your memory…’, it means she’s about to be dedicated to in the next book, and to go get her photo album to help her remember our college days! My diary was destroyed and my own photo album buried, but I know where she keeps hers! LMAO!

OMG I need that book! I have a hard time with my naughty scenes so that will be so helpful. Thanks for posting it. 🙂 I just started the challenge last week but I’m lazy and didn’t bother to play catch up with the weeks missed.
1. Tea, my space heater, my laptops (see this week’s post)
2. This is new, but I’ve taken over my daughter’s old room (she’s at college) and when the door is closed they know to go to dad first. Or at least that’s what I’m trying for. It’s a work in progress.
3. Elementary. It’s the only one I watch on a regular basis.
4. Appriecate. (leaving it misspelled because yeah, that’s how I spell it every time!)
5. Listening. Sometimes I just need to rant and be heard and my online bestie is great at doing that.
