Okay, now that all of that is out of the way…on to the good stuff!!! My story All that Glitters will be in the Spank or Treat 2016 Anthology set to be released in October 2016. Keep your eyes out for that. It will include complete versions of all the stories from the blog event. Here’s an excerpt: “Please forgive me. I did not know. I apologize for my behavior.” Merry dropped to one knee and bowed low. Tylanus was the most powerful hybrid—possibly the most powerful being—alive. His mother had been a faerie princess who'd fallen for the head of the Wizard's council. He’d been born to two of the strongest magical bloodlines in history. When he remained silent, Merry lifted her head. Tylanus stood with his hands on his hips, smirking. She shot to her feet. “You know what? Forget it. I don't apologize. Let me out of this stupid bubble.” “And if I don't?” “Ugh! What do you want from me? I tried to be nice.” “Maybe I just want you. Over my knee.” It was Merry's turn to snort. “Yeah, right. Like that will ever happen.” “I could make you. I'm powerful enough. You know that.” The idea was strangely attractive to her. “True enough. But I'm sure I could quickly dissuade you.” “How so?” Merry sighed. “You only think you want me. If you knew the real me, you’d change your tune. I’m not perfect.” “Nobody is, Princess.” “No, you don’t get it.” Merry paced the small enclosure. She’d only ever admitted this once before, and it hadn’t gone well. And even though she’d likely never see Tylanus again, for some reason this was important to her. While his hinted offer was appealing, she couldn’t contemplate it if she wasn’t going to be truthful. She couldn’t—wouldn’t—put herself through that again. “I only look perfect. I’m a freak. My hair isn’t dark, it’s silver, and has been nearly my whole life. I’m not thin and elegant, I’m curvy. I’ve maintained a glamor every public moment of my life since my body matured. The one man I thought I could trust was disgusted by me. You wouldn’t want me if you could see me. I know my worth. And it is nothing as I am. I only matter so long as I fit in.” She wiped at the tears that ran silently down her cheeks. *** The pain in her voice cut through him. She had been deeply wounded in the past, that was evident. He’d grown up among wizards and other hybrids, but had seen first-hand over the years how conformist some parts of Fae society could be. Different was not usually accepted. He could take her away from all of that, take her where she’d be welcomed with open arms and minds. “Your hair glitters and shines like moonlight on water,” Tylanus said softly as he came up behind her. He gently ran his fingers through her hair. “It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. And as for your curves, you forget. I am half human. These hips—” his hands traced down her sides “—appeal to me greatly.” Merry turned in his arms and stared up at him, openly dumbfounded. “Hybrid, Princess. Magic is magic. I know that you hide your true self from the rest of the world. But you've never been hidden from me.” “And yet, you are not disgusted by my appearance?” “On the contrary, Merriwynn. I like your appearance immensely.” Her chest heaved. She studied his face, as if trying to decide the truth of his words. “So what is it that you’re telling me? What do you want from me?” “I want you, Princess. In all your imperfect glory, if you’ll have me. But you do need a good spanking.” Merry took a step back and crossed her arms. “Really. And why exactly is that?” Tylanus closed the distance between their bodies, pinning her against the invisible barrier that still encased them. “Because you were acting like a spoiled brat, and you know it.” *** Merry expected Tylanus to kiss her. What she didn't expect was for him to turn and stalk away from her. Standing beneath a nearby tree, he inspected a fallen limb. “Yes, this will do. Come, Princess. It's time for your punishment.” Merry didn't budge. “You can't be serious. What on earth makes you think I will let you spank me? And out here, of all places?” “Nobody can hear or see us through the barrier. Only I, as the caster, am able to penetrate its magic. And you'll let me do it because you want me to, and you know it.” She remained rooted in place, silently challenging him to a battle of wills. While his words had been pretty, and called to every secret part of her where hope for love had been buried, she refused to give in to him. What good would come of one night of joy to haunt her for the remainder of her years? “The longer you make me wait, the worse you're making it on yourself, Merry.” He snapped his fingers and Merry found herself face down and ass up across Tylanus’s lap. “If you truly don't want this, tell me to stop and I will.” His hand left a tingling trail of sensation as he rubbed her ass. She squirmed, and was caught off guard by the sting of his hand coming down on her. Merry cried out in surprise. “Stay put, or you'll get more.” She took a deep breath. She didn't want to admit that she liked him taking control like this. His hand came down again, this time leaving a pleasant warmth behind. A third and fourth came in quick succession, and Merry found herself clenching her thighs. She never would have believed that she’d enjoy this. Judging from the hard ridge poking into her side, Tylanus was enjoying this greatly. Knowing that he desired her, and not the false image she wore, was a heady feeling. He’d seen the real her all along, all those times he’d been here. She had a hard time processing the knowledge that someone like him could want her. “I think one more ought to be sufficient. Have you learned your lesson, Princess?” Merry turned her head to look up at him. Before she could speak, he laughed. “No, I imagine you haven’t. I’m sure you’ll need many reminders.” Leave me a comment and I'll pick a winner at random to receive a free copy of my newest book, Alpha Bitch! The one problem with excerpts - you sometimes miss some of the context. :)

These two definitely need a longer story detailing how they met and what got them to this point as well as what follows. Loved the excerpt.

Thank you! That's the problem with juggling a newborn and an almost-two-year-old - not enough time to write everything in my head! I am sure that this will happen at some point though. Glad you liked it. :)

Poor Merry! Surely she just meant to go on her merry way (pun not intended) and keep to her private self. How hard it is when the walls are broken down.

Tylanus and Merry seem to suit each other! I did have a question about the glamor, but it seems you have already answered it up above :) Thank you for sharing your excerpt!

Always nice when someone sees us as we really are and still likes what they see, especially if we don't meet sociery's expectations

Merry seems like a magnet for trouble, although she may have messed with the wrong being this time. Lol I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to read the rest. Thanks

I liked that Tylanus didn't let Merry get away without a spanking. Also, he accepted her for the person she really is, not the facade.

Oh darn, Tylanus can read Merry’s mind. No reason to hide that she wants a spanking then, wouldn’t work anyways. I enjoyed reading the snippet, and especially that Tylanus liked Merry the way she really was, not the perfect image she used around others. :)
