St. Patrick's Day Challenge

Hello sweet friends!

First of all, I wish all my Irish blog friends a wonderful St. Patrick's Day 2016, along with your families... and to the ones that enjoy this St. Pat's celebration as well.

I always use the green china made back at our Ceramic company, Monte Turi from many years ago.

I know the friends that follow me know that my inspiration for the pattern decoration for all the dishes I made; from the indigenous people of Ecuador's clothing customs and I was lucky to have found this pattern in the men's embroidered shirts, many years ago, as the collar and cuffs had shamrocks on them.

I also used the dinner green plates from last Mother's Day gift china and the shamrocks salad plates.

I will be joining Kathleen, at Cuisine Kathleen annual St. Patrick's Day Blog Crawl this Wednesday the 16th. Hope you do too.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY TO YOU ALL !

I also baked an Irish Soda Bread from Pinterest. Easy and yummy!

A very GREEN table in honor of ST. PATRICK'S DAY 2016.

The dinner plate is from my last Mother's Day gift. The 'shamrocks salad plate' from our china designed by me and hand decorated by artists.

The napkin ring in green was also made back at Monte Turi, our own ceramic factory.

I also used the teacup saucer for the crystal sherbet.

The "Irish Soda Bread" came out delicious.

A while back a guest broke the eight green napkin ring, so I interchanged in each place setting a green one and a blue one like this one, as the china has blue as well.

Finally the place setting with the sherbet to keep the greens light.

A little green plant as centerpiece... no biggie.

The white birds are Salt & Pepper shakers.

The "Irish Soda Bread" from Pinterest came out delish and what you see are currants.
The grandgirls spread it with 'Dulce de Leche' and 'Blueberry Jam' too... yum!

Thank you so much for your sweet comments, you always make my day!

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

  23. St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays because, for most of my life, I thought I was Irish (turns out, I'm Scottish!), and also because green is my favorite color. I love seeing it everywhere at this time of the year, and also the creative ways in which people employ it to make lovely table settings. Yours is beautiful here, and those salad plates make me swoon!

  24. What a beautiful and fun table Fabby! I love all the dishes from your factory, and those napkins rings are amazing. I notice you have animals on many of your pieces as lid tops, etc. Very fun.
The Irish soda bread looks delicious! xo Deborah

ps I had to laugh, you were the first to comment on my post about my new red shoes. I should have known a post about shoes would attract your attention right away!! :) We are shoe lovers for sure.

  26. Dearest Fabby,
Your Saint Patrick's themed table setting is extraordinary.
Love the way you solved the missing napkin rings. Yep, china and crystal things do get broken by some guests.
Last dinner for Pieter's club I did not use my Baccarat crystal glasses; too risky for such a large group.
Wishing you also a meaningful St. Patrick's day.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  27. Hello, Fabby! I love your pretty table, and the shamrock bordered plates are perfect with the bright florals. I'm (mostly) of Irish descent (Scotch Ulster, to be precise), and I still have decorated for St. Patrick's Day because Big Sis came home for Spring Break, and we were finishing a small kitchen project. But we will decorate today, and get ready for Pi Day tomorrow by baking a pie! :)

Your soda bread looks wonderful. Where did you find the recipe? I have a recipe, but I'm not crazy about it because I've had better. ;P

    Have a blessed Sunday!

  39. Dear Fabby, Thank you so much for joining Blue Monday at Backyard Neighbor today. Thanks also for your very sweet sidebar comment about my Blog. Sally would be pleased to see so many of her friends joining up with Blue Monday and so am I.

I was so impressed with your beautiful dishes you used for St. Patrick's Day. the pattern is amazing and to think you saw it on some men's clothing and subsequently designed your china from your inspiration of the patterns on cloth. So clever and lovely. The green with blue touches are perfect for posting on blue Monday. The table is so lovely in every way.

    Happy Blue Monday.
