And what a I posting about?

Come on, you knew it was coming. It's only my favorite show that I do extremely long, detailed recaps and analysis of when it's on...

The Walking Dead !!!

The great thing about TWD is that it has everything. Great story lines, great character arcs, great plot twists, plus the excellent effects (gore, etc.) tragedy, and the human element that gets you all addicted and you just can't stop watching.

There are no boobs in the walking dead. Very little skin at all, in fact. But there's definitely blood and carnage. Most kills in this show are zombie in nature, but there's some gore involving the living, too.

I've added some gifs below to illustrate. Notice how Daryl is in most of them. That's because he's the show's most physical character and generally gets the best kills. Of course there are a few other characters with gnarly kills as well.

Daryl hatchback walker kill. - Season 3 Source

Daryl beheading a walker. - Season 1 Source

Daryl killing Merle (after he became a walker). - Season 3 Source

Rick ripping out Joe(bad guy)'s throat with his teeth. - Season 4 Source

Noah's death (voted worst/gnarliest death of season 5). Source

Daryl killing 3 walkers at once with a chain (a.k.a. awesome!) - Season 5 Source

What's your favorite involving blood, boobs, and/or carnage?

    1. I agree. This season's finale was actually a bit of a let down. Because of that, that was probably my favorite moment of the episode. :D Thanks Alex. This was a fun blogfest!

  2. I picked this show for today's blogfest as well. It is so awesome. I've only seen the first four seasons because I watch it on Netflix. Can't wait for the fall.

    1. Ooh cool. I'll hop over and see yours. And sorry. If you haven't seen season 5, a couple of these gifs are mildly spoiler-y aren't they? :D

  7. I tried Walking Dead once, but it struck me as kind of boring. There was nothing like any of the stuff in your videos. Hmmm... what am I missing?

    1. Depends on how much you watched. I was totally hooked by the first episode, but I know lots of other people who weren't. I'd say you need to watch the first four episodes. If it's still not doing anything for you, it probably never will. It does get really good as it goes along, tho. Excellent story lines, plot twists and character arcs. :D

  8. I never watch Walking Dead because it's a little too much carnage for me, but the storylines sound epic. A good choice!

  9. Wow, that's certainly a lot of blood and carnage. Not sure I could sleep at night after watching that, and I have enough of a problem getting some shut eye.

    1. LOL. Yeah, it is, but I love the show too much to let the carnage bug me. Thanks Jeffrey! :D

  11. Yep, Daryl usually gets the best kills. "When Daryl cries, the whole world cries." So true.

I do wish someone would wash his hair though :)

    1. Very true! I agree. I like his long hair, tbh, but I see your point. :D Thanks Dolorah!

  12. Three heads at once. That's pretty neat in a blood and carnage kinda way.

  13. I don't watch Walking Dead anymore, but my favorite parts when I did usually involved the Governor. I tend to love psychopathic villains.

    1. I'm not even sure that I'm into zombies so much as dystopian in general, though the zombies are definitely awesome. I watch it more for the human element set against the monster element. Always love meeting other TWD fans, though. :D
