Come on, you knew it was coming. It's only my favorite show that I do extremely long, detailed recaps and analysis of when it's on...
The great thing about TWD is that it has everything. Great story lines, great character arcs, great plot twists, plus the excellent effects (gore, etc.) tragedy, and the human element that gets you all addicted and you just can't stop watching.
There are no boobs in the walking dead. Very little skin at all, in fact. But there's definitely blood and carnage. Most kills in this show are zombie in nature, but there's some gore involving the living, too.
I've added some gifs below to illustrate. Notice how Daryl is in most of them. That's because he's the show's most physical character and generally gets the best kills. Of course there are a few other characters with gnarly kills as well.
What's your favorite involving blood, boobs, and/or carnage?

The three beheadings is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in our blogfest.
I agree. This season's finale was actually a bit of a let down. Because of that, that was probably my favorite moment of the episode. :D Thanks Alex. This was a fun blogfest!
DeleteI picked this show for today's blogfest as well. It is so awesome. I've only seen the first four seasons because I watch it on Netflix. Can't wait for the fall.
ReplyDeleteOoh cool. I'll hop over and see yours. And sorry. If you haven't seen season 5, a couple of these gifs are mildly spoiler-y aren't they? :D
DeleteWell those images were just disturbing... I am shocked and full of dismay, it's making me tear up a little... :)
ReplyDeleteGO DARY'L GO...
Jeremy [THE WOLF]
Howlin' Wolf Records: On-Line Magazine
Yeah I can tell you're real broken up about it. :D Thanks Jeremy. :D
DeleteDaryl is the best part. No end to the gore on that show.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. On both counts. Thanks Susan! :D
DeleteWalking Dead is making a big showing today!

Tossing It Out
Yeah I kind of figured it would, but I still wanted to post about it. :D Thanks Arlee!
DeleteWalking Dead is great choice for the B,B&C Blogfest!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI tried Walking Dead once, but it struck me as kind of boring. There was nothing like any of the stuff in your videos. Hmmm... what am I missing?
ReplyDeleteDepends on how much you watched. I was totally hooked by the first episode, but I know lots of other people who weren't. I'd say you need to watch the first four episodes. If it's still not doing anything for you, it probably never will. It does get really good as it goes along, tho. Excellent story lines, plot twists and character arcs. :D
DeleteI never watch Walking Dead because it's a little too much carnage for me, but the storylines sound epic. A good choice!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's certainly a lot of blood and carnage. Not sure I could sleep at night after watching that, and I have enough of a problem getting some shut eye.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Yeah, it is, but I love the show too much to let the carnage bug me. Thanks Jeffrey! :D
DeleteI'm a huge TWD fan! It's perfect for this blogfest. I can't wait for fall and the new season. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! I think the whole "wolves" setup is awesome. Can't wait to see what they do with it. :D
DeleteYep, Daryl usually gets the best kills. "When Daryl cries, the whole world cries." So true.
ReplyDeleteI do wish someone would wash his hair though :)
Very true! I agree. I like his long hair, tbh, but I see your point. :D Thanks Dolorah!
DeleteThree heads at once. That's pretty neat in a blood and carnage kinda way.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Best kill of the season. :D Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI don't watch Walking Dead anymore, but my favorite parts when I did usually involved the Governor. I tend to love psychopathic villains.
ReplyDeleteGod, Entertainment, & Annoying Things
I feel ya! The worse the villain, the better the story. Totally agree with that! :D
DeleteI LOVE the Walking Dead!!! I was never into zombies until this show and now I'm hooked. Great pick for the BB&C!
ReplyDeleteMichele at Angels Bark
I'm not even sure that I'm into zombies so much as dystopian in general, though the zombies are definitely awesome. I watch it more for the human element set against the monster element. Always love meeting other TWD fans, though. :D
DeleteWell now. That was eye opening at 11pm! (He he he)
ReplyDeleteOne day I will get back and try to watch this from the beginning. I like to binge watch shows.:)
THANK YOU for joining Alex and me in this EPIC blogfest!
Heather M. Gardner
Thanks for hosting this blogfest, Heather! It was tons of fun. Hope you get around to binge-watching. This is one that's ridiculously easy to binge-watch because it's so addicting. Hope you enjoy it when you do. :D
