Kilt Up, Sassanagh!

Today Alex Cavanaugh and Heather Gardner are hosting The Blood, Boobs and Carnage Blogfest.

There are dozens of people signed up for this one and this time I'm #22 on the list.  I got in early this time.  This is one Blogfest I didn't want to miss.

After you've read and commented on my post, please go visit the other participants HERE
If you haven't heard about the epic TV Series, Outlander yet, then what bloody rock have you been hiding under?

This gorgeous and dramatic series has been adapted from Diana Gabaldon's book.

I'm totally addicted.  It has everything - drama, action, adventure, naked bodies, sex scenes, fantasy, oh yeah and boobs, blood and carnage.  Triple Whammy, Plonkers.

For those of you who have been living under That Rock, here is how the story line goes....

...after serving as a British Army nurse in World War 2, Claire Randall is enjoying a second honeymoon in Scotland with her husband Frank, an MI6 officer looking forward to a new career as an Oxford historian.

Suddenly, Claire is transported to 1743 where her freedom and life are threatened. To survive, she marries Jamie Fraser, a strapping saucy Scots warrior with a complicated past and a disarming sense of humor.

A passionate relationship ensues, and Claire is caught between two vastly different men in two inharmonious lives.

Fifty Shades of Gingerness ensues...

Outlander has won a People's Choice Award already for Season 1 and now, in Season 2, the story gets juicy and even more twisted.  Besides the costume porn, the scenery is incredibly lush.  The scenes are often graphically gruesome, but the passion and romance are tangible.  Sam Heughan is handsome and devilishly sexy...

The Blood

This was Jamie and Claire's Blood Vow at their wedding.  It was incredibly romantic and powerful at the same time. Jamie is so intense and dreamy...

“Because I wanted you." He turned to face me. "More than I ever wanted anything in my life," he added softly.

The Boobs

There are lots of nakedness in Outlander. Lappings of Cleveage, bare bums and tons of naked flesh.

The wicked Jack Black and Jamie's wee Sister

The Steamy Wedding Night and the Jamie-Ass-Caress

The Busty Laoghaire makes her move on oor Jamie

The Carnage

Spankings, naked Pregnant bellies, whisky guzzling, swords piercing chests, brawling thugs, maimings, whippings, rape, witches, gory shootings....plenty of carnage.

I guess I've been under that rock. I've heard of the movie, but not the TV show. Must be on premium cable with nudity and all.

I have heard of Outlander, but in all honesty, I haven't watched it. :( If it's on premium cable, I don't have it. If it's on Netflix, I'll have to look it up. :) It sounds really, really good! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by my blog! Eva

Fantastic write Scots Lass. You've put in your all into this. It would certainly entail a lot of preparations prior to posting. And you're brave and open in your assertions.

Ooh, I love these books, so of course I was all over the show. Love, love, love Jamie and Claire. Though I may have been under a rock for not finding your blog yet :) Great choice!

I'm totally out of the loop. I didn't know they had a show about this! I've read the book and now I must watch this.

I've only seen the first episode and never became a fan though I read the books. Certainly lots of scenes in those books that would fit.

I haven't started the series yet, but probably will one day. That whipping scene was really bad!!! But love the song! Thanks for dropping by my blog! Lisa @ http://www.lisabuiecollard.com

I haven't read the book yet, but I had no idea it had made it to television. Guess I'm behind the times.

I see Diana every year at the Surrey International Writers' Conference. She's a wonderful woman--an amazing dresser, with quite a memorable voice.

I haven't seen the TV series yet, but it certainly increased the line-up to get one of her books signed!

I've also heard of the show, but I never seen it. I like how this guy practically spits in his lasher's eye and takes his lashes! I hope he gets his revenge to say the least and that lasher gets his too! What an ass! Thanks for joining us my friend and have a rocktastic week! :)

I confess - I live under a rock too. You did a great job presenting your choice, though. (smile).

From what I see here you picked a winner in the boobs category. Man, they are everywhere. I have not watched it (lifts rock), but it sounds interesting. Starz? We can't get that.

I haven't seen this show.
Thanks for sharing with us too.

Have a great week!

I love watching this series every week with friends. It is so ridiculously over-the-top both in sex and in carnage that is is always a good time, and we laugh a lot :D (probably shouldn't, especially at the carnage scenes, but we do). I have not read the books, I hear there is a little more historical detail in them than the show. The show is delightful, though. :)
Cheers! Thanks for the visit!

I sooo love Outlander!! I read the book years ago and was so excited that Starz was doing the TV series. I'm quite impressed with how closely the show follows the book. I mentioned in another post: I have all the books in the Outlander series but I haven't read but the first one. I really do need to dive into those books! (I have a hard time reading because I fall asleep so fast: couple that with Gabaldon's lengthy books (mammouth size!) and it takes me for-ever to get through the book...

Fantastic job on this one! Thanks for visiting me. I'm following you on social sites now.

What am I waiting for? Well, it hasn't come to Netflix instant viewing yet. It's DVD only. :/ So yeah, that's it. Should look if it's on Amazon...
