iStencil Cards

Hi everyone,
this is going to be a LONG post.....

before I forget - you have to go and visit my amazing, creative friend Rahmat from Card and Cooking Corner - "why?" You may ask, but you'll have to find out for yourself :))) - please leave her some love and tell her I sent you!

As soon as I saw that inspiration picture from Showcase Your Style I knew I had to play - just how to do this picture justice???? It took me quite a while to figure it out - I wanted the colors, the shine and the bubbles. I was playing around with one of those iStencil stencils making a card you'll get to see soon, when it hit me that it would work perfectly for the challenge - so here it is:

It took a while to make this. I first sponged the background. Then I taped the stencil down and sponged in a darker shade again.  I then applied clear embossing paste and let it dry over night. (Did some touch up sponging again). I had to reposition the stencil and repeated, since it does not cover an A2 card in length, just in width (but you could buy a larger stencil size - I just went with the smallest) - just thinking - maybe I should go with a size larger next time????

89-00108 R SC

After everything was dry I cut a strip away - see the card below. I added the "smile" die cut. I wanted it to stand out and thought I die cut it multiple times, but then I was like - why? I have fun foam, which cuts beautifully, is nice, think and pliable and I had some remnants/snippets lying around. Lastly I heat embossed the sentiment and added it with a thin layer of foam tape,

And then I had that gorgeous cut-away strip - I can't throw this out - right? So I made a second card with it. Does not need any explanation - The stamps are by Neat&Tangled. Added self made enamel dots (if you want to know how - go and visit House of Cards and link up all your enamel dotted cards with them!)

Also linking this card with Simon Says Monday challenge - B is for ...birthday card
Happy Little Stampers - Sponging - did an awful lot of that with this card!
Little Tangles - second card only - anything goes
Lil' Inkers - only first card
Snippets Playground - use a snippet - both cards
Craft Stamper Take it Make it challenge - anything goes

Are you still with me???? Hopefully yes. And again - don't forget about Rahmat - go and say Hi!
Enjoy your weekend!

The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car
