Welcome to the 82nd week of My Sexy Saturday, where an amazing host of erotic and romance authors of all genres come together every Saturday to share some seriously sexy snippets. Following along the same lines as last week's song style theme, today's sexy snippets will be inspired by all time classic Mr. Louis Armstrong when he sang:
'Kiss me once...and kiss me twice. Then kiss me once again. It's been a long, long time.'
This entire portion of his song struck deep with me. You see, I'm currently writing book 2 in The Ryan's Series, Sophie. But Sophie and her hero Jonathan are introduced very profoundly in book 1, Declan, The Ryan's. They were separated from each other for a long, long time, and most definitely had to have a kiss when they're reunited. But as this is a series about the total awesomeness that is The Ryan Family, with a lot whole lotta hot lovin' thrown in, you'll also get a little glimpse into other characters.

Everyone chuckled at that, even Sophie. Grinning from ear to ear, Jonathan ruffled his son’s hair affectionately, then dropped his hand to cup the side of his neck, leaning in till their foreheads were touching. He softly whispered to Jon, who trembled slightly. More quiet talking and Jon straightened, then he smiled brightly and slightly mischievously at his Dad, who grinned back and squeezed his neck one final time before releasing him to slowly stand. Looking over at Sophie as Jon ran off towards the jukebox next to the pool table, Jonathan slowly walked to within inches of her, stopped and just looked at her. Seconds later, the sweet guitar strains and piano melody of Then by Brad Paisley filtered softly out of the pub’s speaker system.
Holding out his hand to Sophie, Jonathan finally spoke. “Dance with me, Phee.”
Sophie’s eyes filled with tears, and in spite of the hesitancy shadowing her eyes, she stepped forward into Jonathan’s embrace with a blindingly beautiful smile, laughing and crying at the same time. Twirling her around and around the floor, weaving expertly between the few tables arranged around the room, every time they passed our group, I could hear Jonathan’s faint sexy scratchy singing as he stared deep in her eyes. When the song ended, Jonathan held her in the middle of the pub and sang the last line right along with Brad.
And I thought I loved you then. And I thought I loved you then.
Whistling and catcalls filled the pub as Jonathan dipped Sophie back a few inches and kissed her with all the love he had. Tears filled my eyes and I felt Declan’s arms surround me. I gripped his as he leaned down and muttered in my ear.
“That song is pretty much their history wrapped up in a neat little bow. Fuckin’ sap.”
“Declan!” I chastised him, turning my head to see him grinning like a loon. Pop must have heard him, because he started chuckling and clapped Declan on the shoulder, then his booming voice broke up Jonathan and Sophie’s reunion before it got too hot and heavy in the family pub, right in front of their son.
