Travel Kits Review

travelkits_cover_sm

Are you (or better yet someone you know) planning a trip this Summer?  If so, you need this book.  This book is full of amazing ideas while traveling.

What would you say if I told you that you could go on a road trip (or any trip) with your kids and have an enjoyable ride in the car, and no, the magic answer is not electronics.  The magic answer is Travel Kits, A Simple Way To Bless Others.  With a little planning ahead your next trip can be your best yet!

The idea behind this book is to bless others by making these “Travel Kits” and presenting them to them before their trip, but the entire time I was reading this book I was thinking to myself, “That would work for me.”  We travel often, not really to far, but 2 hours or so each way.  I do have a TV in my van, which I do take advantage of.  I often make my kids pack activity bags, too.  However the next time we travel I will be presenting my family with a Travel Kit.

Some of the ideas are so simple, but I would have never thought of them.  For example bring along a bottle of bubbles and stop at a rest stop along the way, and blow them for your kids while they run around chasing them.  That will get the wiggles out!   Another game I can see us playing is the Twizzler game.  I just love my licorice. The scavenger hunt will be a great game for my Kindergartner too.    I can see our next trip being so much fun and educational too.  This book talks about enjoying the entire trip, not just the destination.

I am even trying to think of families that I know who might be traveling, that we could make “Travel Kits” for.  That would be a great way to teach my children to have a heart of service.

This book includes close to 100 pages of ideas, (and color photos for you visual learners).  To view a sample of this book click here. There is even a trip resource list of internet links.  And a list of tourism websites by state. There is a bonus section with recipes and tips from veteran travelers.

All of these ideas are very creative quick and easily affordable.  You could even just use stuff you already have at home instead of buying new if you were making these for your family.

My overall opinion: I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who travels with children, or anyone that knows someone that travels with children.  This is such a good book, full of great ideas.  I love it that you can teach your children to have a heart of service through this book.

This book is only $12.45 from The Old Schoolhouse
