TOS Crew Review: Travel the World E-Book

Perhaps you were one of those students that found geography to be pretty dry and useless. (Like me!) Quite honestly, I couldn’t have cared less about which country was situated on which ocean. As long as I could make it around my little town without getting lost, then life was good.

2010JunModuleCoverSMIn fact, it wasn’t until after I began strategically planning for my total world domination my children’s homeschooling lessons that geography thrust itself back into focus. A moment in our school day that was marked with much weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth (mine). And let’s be honest, an attitude like that does little to inspire and cultivate learning on any level.

Thankfully this next review product arrived just in time to make the study of the earth far more inspiring to us all!

 Travel the World (The Schoolhouse Planner June 2010 module) is a cool, jam-packed supplement designed to take your geography lessons from bland and boring, to fun and effective!

This 56-page e-book features dozens of multi-grade activities including:

  • Fill-in-the-blanks and Scripture copywork pages (manuscript and cursive)
  • Rebus and crossword puzzles
  • Coloring pages
  • Lapbook starters
  • Recipes and hyperlinked (internet) activities
  • even a nifty High School Expansion section filled with an online quiz (which by the way, I totally flunked) and writing assignments to challenge and inspire your older students—
  • and a whole lot more!

As with all available modules, Travel the World is designed to work cohesively with the ever-popular Schoolhouse Planner. It would also work well as a stand-alone unit study or as a supplement to your current curriculum.

I was highly impressed with range of information found in this e-book. The lessons are engaging, fun to teach, and provide a ton of hands-on experience—which is a nice change of pace from traditional textbook learning! {Wanna know something else? I didn’t get bored or yawn even once while using it! Wow!}

You can purchase a copy of this delightful e-book from The Schoolhouse Store for only $7.95.

We give Travel the World two happy thumbs up! :)
