Saturday Spankings, January 11

Welcome to Saturday Spankings. I hope everyone has enjoyed getting to know Cassie and Tom, through these snippets and hopefully by reading Cassie’s Space. By sometime next month the second book, Cassie’s Tale should be out. This month I’ll be sharing snippets from the second book.
In today’s snippets Cassie is helping in the kitchen at a church lunch. As usual when Cassie isn’t by his side all the widows and a few divorcee are buzzing around Tom eager for his attention. While Cassie understands this to a point, it can become annoying.
As they were finally leaving, it seems not everyone was ready to let Tom go.

We finally made it to the parking lot and I asked, “Tom, let me drive, it’s my car.” He grinned, knowing I just wanted to do a little showing off with my new sports car. I backed out carefully and pulled up to a group of friends. The kids in the youth group loved it and I got a good many compliments from others, not that I like being the center of attention or anything.
I was just getting ready to pull out when one of the old biddies in Tom’s fan club called out, “Oh wait, Tom honey, I just wanted to ask you one mor…” I didn’t hear the rest because I floored it and burnt rubber out of there. I didn’t really mean to, I was just ready to leave and of course I’m not completely familiar with the car yet. I must say the look on Tom’s face was priceless as I swung onto the road.

Here’s a blurb for Cassie’s Space, available now on Amazon.
Meet Cassie, a former wild child, who meets her match, and creates the match of a lifetime. To nearly all who know her now, Cassie is a vivacious, sweet southern lady, who is the epitome of grace and proper behavior. Look a tiny bit closer and you’ll see that Cassie has another side – the one whose language could make a sailor blush as she drinks him under the table.
Thanks to her loving husband Tom, who even after thirty years of marriage, never hesitates to put Cassie over his knee when she strays too far from his view of ladylike behavior, few people other than close old friends know this side of Cassie exists.
Cassie and Tom show that love and passion are not the sole property of the young. Love and passion grows and changes with age. While aging may bring on challenges – the love and passion between these two people only grows stronger.

Here’s the blurb for Cassie’s Tale out in February.

Cassie continues to live life to the fullest, from wheeling around in her new sports car to mastering the art of riding a motor scooter with no hands, she manages to keep Tom on his toes. The fly in the ointment is that Tom’s firm wants him back for a project and Cassie wants him all to herself.  When Tom takes the job, Cassie is lonely and bored – never a good combination for her.
Left to her own devices Cassie makes some poor decisions, frightening Sue and causing Tom to lower the boom. Tom's new schedule for Cassie, including her getting a job, leaves her little time to get herself in trouble – yet she still manages.

Don’t forget all the great snippets here today.

    1. Tom said she could drive - wouldn't he want her to show what the car can do? But you're right on that trouble thing.

    1. LOL, she's trying to fool Tom. It a little like trying to sneak dawn past a rooster.

  9. I feel like I know this couple so well, PK. All that you have shared about Tom and Cassie over the last few weeks has really given me a feel for the dynamics of their relationship. I love her peeling away in that new car so that the old bitty can't distract Tom for one more second. I bet she's going to pay the price for later though.
    Great snippet!

  15. I just love Cassie! She reminds me of me, a lot of the time. I'd have peeled out just to show off the car, much less to get away from Tom's fan club. Thanks for the giggle!

Cassie's not the jealous type - but she can get annoyed if too many women are around him. Can't blame her.

  17. Forecast calls for 95% chance of a warm bottom for Cassie along with a stern lecture on safe driving skills. Otherwise, partly sunny:)

  18. Well hey, what's the point of a sports car if you can't floor it and burn a little rubber. Of course Tom might be doing some burning of his own now!

  22. Can't say as I blame Cassie. Watching even old biddies fawning over my husband would get my goat, too. I can imagine his expression was priceless, but I suspect she's also going to be told she was rude. Great snippet, PK. Look forward to you new release.
