Affirmations

Well, here I go with the A to Z challenge. I am new to all of this blogging stuff, so be gentle with me. I picked affirmations for my A subject, because I feel they are so important to our happiness and general well being. That little voice that plays like a tape recorder over and over again all day long is what helps us to feel either good or bad about ourselves.

Affirmations are a phrase or sentence you repeat in your mind or out loud over and over again, kind of like a mantra. Our mind is always busy with mindless chatter, so why not make it positive.

One of my favorite affirmations is one I found written by Louise Hay, an American motivational author. "All is Well. Everything is working for my highest good. Out of this situation only good will come. I am safe." This one simple statement has made an incredible difference in the way I feel on a day-to-day basis. I say it in the morning and through out the day, especially when I am feeling down or a little like my day is not heading in such a good direction.

It is amazing how something as simple as and affirmation can have such an incredible impact on how we feel. We eventually become what we say and think, so keep the little voice in your head positive with daily affirmations.
