Thursday Fiction 422: Parallel Slip 2: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

There were traces of carbon on one side of the living-room near the chimney but nothing that showed that someone almost burned alive here. More like the fire got out of control but was dealt with very quickly.

“They should have left him alone,” Romulus answer and for a second the accent in his voice seemed a bit different.

Isabelle wondered how much control he really had over Eric's body and also how long he could maintain it.

“I'll have to go back to my own universe soon, but you can stay with Eric, I trust him,” Romulus continued with his very own voice.

“So you'll leave me here with no way of contacting you if things turn bad?”

“I thought you could fence for yourself,” Romulus said pointing at her hand. “Let's take care of that. You know they normally sedate you to remove this. I can't even understand how you did it.”

“How did you plan on doing it last night?” Isabelle asked.

Wednesday Snippet 424: Fairy World 65

Welcome back to Wednesday Snippet. This week, we continue with Fairy World unedited just where we left off last week

"Mind if I read the entire chapter," Brownie said turning some pages back.

"I love how you trust me so much," the shadow said.

Brownie rolled her eyes again and started to read ignoring him.

"All right all right but I thought human needed to sleep at some point, the sun will be up shortly," the shadow said.

"I need to fix everything in this world, then I'll go help Sahel in the fairy world," Brownie said turning a page.

"So that's the plan? That's because that other demon girl is pissing you off?" The shadow said.

"No, I don't care about her, I just wish I had a mixer large enough to put her in, wings included and jumped on the button," Brownie answered.

Tuesday Travel 220: Witch Raising: The Book of Earth 67

Welcome to Tuesday Travel. This week we are following Brownie on her journey as she is going toward the second element: Earth.

About Witch Raising.

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt starts right where we left off last week.

Brownie swallowed and try to put on an innocent air. She was feeling the lie in every single muscles of her face but that was the best she could do. Her aquamarine was pulsing, there was real danger here and she only had her words to get out of it. Viorel's amulet wasn't going to work on humans.

“I was helping the professor,” she said.

It was only half a lie. She did help two professors to hide from the demons.

“So you are part of the conference?” the man asked.

“Yes of course,” Brownie said.

Once again, it was only half a line she had been invited by professor Fliggerty.

“Can I see your pass?” The man asked.

Mystery Monday 217: Murder at the Conference 114

Hello mystery lovers and welcome to a new Mystery Monday.
I hope you had a great week-end. Here is a new little part of Murder at the Conference. Murder at the Conference is a stand alone sequel to Harajuku Kiss.

We start right were we left off last week:

Now he isn't causing them anymore because he is out of my live. Now, I don't have panic attack at home or at night I only have them when I talk to you. When you try to pull me down.”

“You really don't get it,” she said. “You can't expect me to be responsible for your feelings.”

“Just like you can't expect me for how you feel when I said that you are fat?”

“That was just plain mean and you did it on purpose to harm me.”

“Just like everything you say to me, on a daily basis.”

“That's not true.”

I turned in my seat to face the front of the plane refusing to talk to her any longer.

“Christa, panic attack are triggered, that means they need something to set them off flying free. At the moment, it's your never ending negativity toward everything I do and everything I am.”

“Because I don't like my friend dating a murderer?”

“Seiji never killed anyone. If you ever listen to me, you would know that.”

“You can never be sure.”
