Hand-Me-Down...

I have been wanting a small desk for my computer for a while now, but I really didn't want to spend any money. I remembered that my mother-in-love had an old desk that belonged to her mother (my hubby's grandma) in her garage.

She so kindly let me bring it home with me yesterday...

It was originally a cherry stained color, but grandma painted it. You can see a bit of the wood coming through the paint, but I think it looks perfect just the way it is. The hubby thinks I should paint it...what are your thoughts?

I just love hand-me-downs, don't you?

By the way, I have an AWESOME giveaway starting tomorrow for a HUGE prize from none other than Cary Hairbows!!! You won't want to miss it!!!

Hi, this is so pretty! I saw you had linked to Cheri's blog hop. I did, too, but my pics are too big, I wondered if you had resized yours.

I love it just the way it is! It's gorgeous. What a pretty yellow with just the right distressing.

I have a dresser for my dining room I'm contemplating how to finish it. Right now, I'm leaning towards to a walnut top with a distressed creamy white on the bottom. My grandmother is gonna flip when she finds out I painted it.

She had that in her garage??? It's gorgeous! I wouldn't be against revamping that sucker with some paint and distressing it a bit. Its a lovely piece of furniture!

Love those lines! If you're not completely sure, maybe try living with it awhile and see how you feel later on...

I think it's beautiful the way it is. I wouldn't paint it since it's the color grandma chose. :)
