 The battle of The Who's "Won't get Fooled Again" was won easily by Van Halen over Ann Wilson 6 to 1. The cover by Van Halen was recorded during the Sammy Hagar years. As usual we celebrate winners.

Battle of the Bands Results: Pete Townsend holds off Passenger

 Pete Townsend holds off Passenger in my long overdue return to Battle of the Bands and my blog. The first five votes went Pete's way. Then the final 2 went for Passenger. The shut out went bye-bye and so did Passenger. In the tradition of old, we celebrate the winner.

Battle of the Bands: Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again

 Bob Dylan songs same to get a live of their own. He has been covered by The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, Guns N Roses, The Who, Robert Plant, and many more. So picking a gem like "Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again" would certainly give me some options.

R.I.P Jerry Springer

 I was going to air my issues on the Jerry Springer show unfortunately it is too late. Jerry Springer has passed away at the age of 79. He was best known for his television show.

He was the mayor of Cincinnati from 1977 to 1978. He was a lawyer as well.

He will be missed by his fans, friends and family may he rest in peace!

April with No A to Z Challenge

 Yes as many of my readers know April is the time for the big A to Z Blogging Challenge. Obviously looking at my posts I am sitting this year out. I think this is the second one I missed the first one being before I knew about the challenge. 

Last year I disappeared from the blogosphere. I think I made a half dozen posts after last year's challenge. Nothing after August 1 until December 29th. 

Even though my blog is getting back to some level of normalcy whatever that may look like. It is not a shock I am taking the month long challenge off.

If you have never done the challenge I recommend you give it a try next year. It is certainly away to find new blogs, give your blog some exposure and make some new connections.
