Pet Blogger Challenge

Starting the year of with the

Sponsored by GoPetFriendly.com and Will My Dog Hate Me

Challenge Questions #1: For bloggers who haven’t participated before

1. When did you begin your blog? - April of last year

2. What was your original purpose for starting a blog? - a place for me to write about Sophie and our activities. My friends are very nice and indulge my long spiels about Sophie and all our activities but eventually they get that glazed look in their eyes. I figure here I can write as much as I want :-)

3. Is your current purpose the same? yup!

If so, how do you feel you’ve met your goals? I have shared a lot about our accomplishments as well as as challenges we face and things we need to work on.

4. Do you blog on a schedule or as the spirit moves you? Whenever the spirit moves me or I have a fun story to share!
If the latter, do you worry about… well, whatever you might worry about (e.g. losing traffic, losing momentum)? Not really. I write just for the sake of having somewhere to share stories/thoughts etc, I like hearing back from people but my main goal isn't to create traffic.

5. Are you generating income from your blog? Not yet
If not currently, do you hope to in the future — and how? I signed up for BlogHer advertising codes on my blog. It would be nice to make a little extra $ to help defray costs of all the activities

6. What do you like most about blogging in general and your blog in particular (bragging is good!)? I like being able to share Sophie's accomplishments. I love getting feedback from other bloggers on training issues we might run into. I also just enjoy being able to share information about our activities such as flyball

7. What do you like least? When I can't think of anything to say for days on end

8. How do you see your blog changing/growing in 2012? I hope to "meet" more bloggers and discuss more of the training aspect of what we do.

  7. Yeah, I know the feeling when you talk too much about dogs to your friends and family, and the glazed eyes... Part of the reason I started my blog, too!

  8. I'm lucky to have some crazy dog friends in my real life too. But they're more interested in Honey than in me. :)

  9. Lucky for me most of my friends indulge me when I start talking about my dogs (they know I'm passionate about them). However, as guide dog puppy raisers lots of people like to come up to us and tell us stories about their dogs which we always enjoy. All the best to you in 2012!
