5 Question Friday!

I'm currently sick as hell (damn you toddler germs!  So a 5QF is about all I can muster up just about now. My apologies in advance if anything doesn't make sense or is completely random, because I'm so foggy from cold meds right now its not even funny!

1. Where do you escape to when you've had enough?
Usually I just escape to a store.  Kinda lame, right?  I'll often just go to Target and run an errand, or go wander around Kohl's for a little while.  Usually when I've "had enough" its when Jack has been fussing all day long and I'm at my wit's end.  When Mizzle comes home, he takes over and just lets me do my thing.  So usually I don't actually need to go out of the house, I just need someone to be in charge of Jack instead of me.

2. What shows are you watching this fall?
Top Chef Just Desserts - Mizzle and I call this show "Just Drama".  Last season was filled with a bunch of crybaby dudes, this season less-so, but there is still an obnoxious amount of unnecessary drama for a reality show even.  My favorite to win was Katzie, but she got voted off last week :(
Up All Night - Mizzle and I think that Reagan and Chris are ironically like us.  Still thinking that they can hack it with a cool social life with a baby, when in reality the lack of sleep just kinda kills that.  And plus, you think your kid is so damn cute that you don't really want to be anywhere else but with your kid.  And my other favorite thing about this show?  How Maya Rudolph (she plays Ava) is obviously pregnant and how they do such a crappy job of hiding it!

3. What was the longest roadtrip you've ever taken and where did you go?
I think it was 10 hours - my parents house in CT to Quebec.  Mizzle and I went there for vacation one summer, I think it was the 2nd summer we were dating.  He had a used Nissan Pathfinder that he had just bought, so we were driving that up there.  Just because our luck is so awesome, the air conditioner water coolant tube thingy decided to start leaking, right in the front passenger side floor.  So my feet were sitting in wet carpet for the entire ride.  And then, we valet'ed the car at this fancy shmancy hotel.  Klassy.

4. Do you plan on taking your kids to Disney World?
ABSOLUTELY.  I can't wait for it!!!!!  I went to Disney a lot as a kid, my grandparents lived in Kissimmee, about 30 minutes outside of Orlando.  I loved Disney, I still do.  It's so happy and perfect and it reminds me of being a kid again.  My absolute favorite ride is "Carousel of Progress".  I know its not really a ride and that is super nerdy of me, but I just loved the scenes of the olden times, I've always been obsessed with history.  I can't wait to take Jack on "It's a Small World", that was my grandmother's favorite ride; I'll point out the kangaroo holding her baby to him, because that was her favorite part.  And hopefully he'll be tall enough to go on "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad", my favorite rollercoaster ever!  And of course, we'll have to go to a Character Breakfast and meet Mickey, and Jack will probably be a little scared, but I'll go up with him and we'll both give Mickey a hug.  Its going to be awesome and I really and truly can't wait for that vacation, its going to be magical :)

5. What is something people would surprised to know about you?
I am almost petrified of making phone calls to Chinese restaurants and pizza places, specifically to order take-out.  Like I will go hungry instead of calling.  Thank God Dominoes has implemented online ordering, otherwise Mizzle and I might never have delivery pizza!  I think it stems from when I was a little kid and had lots of ear infections and often couldn't hear very well, and had to constantly ask people to repeat themselves, and I felt stupid and very self conscious.  I get all anxious when I make those phone calls, afraid that I won't understand the person on the other end of the line, and that they will be upset with me.  Irrational?  Yeah probably.
