The end

Beaucoup trop vite d'ailleurs.

La suite de l'arrêt

Mon arrêt a évolué il y a trois semaines.
Des impressions de fuites le dimanche soir. Des contractions le lundi matin. Une grenouille le mardi matin.

On trouve le rythme. On se sent dépassé. On est fatigué. On fait des sourires. On dit n'importe quoi. On ne voit pas la fin du film. On profite.

- dormi

- Me faire masser
- Nettoyer l'appart de fond en combles
- Trier vêtements et chaussures
- Me reposer
- Compter les jours avant de le rencontrer

50 Questions that will free your mind

While writing my HNY post, I was looking for an older one, and came across this one, dated March 13, 2011. What if I did those 50 questions again? 11 years later? Let's go !

"The lists of questions below will help you to free your mind. These questions have no right or wrong answers. Because sometimes asking the right questions is the answer. Just answer all of these questions in your heart and see what the changes around you."

1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are ?

Everyone says I don't look my age, that I look younger. So I'm willing to look 5 or 6 years younger... What do you think ?

2. Which is worse, failing or never trying ?

Eleven years ago, I answered "Never trying", and I keep that answer. I failed many times, I've made many mistakes, but I've always picked myself up. Today, I am proud of the path I have taken. Of course, I would have preferred to avoid a few obstacles, but I think it was necessary to go through this!

3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?

Because that's life I guess. It takes everything to make a world, including things you don't like to do.
I'm a to-do list person, and in the end, it allows me to do a lot more of the things I like because the things I don't like don't take up as much time as they used to.

4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

Oh yes. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?

2 years of Covid, don't you think it's enough ?

6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?

Everyday I do my best to see people around me happy, so I guess any kind of work.

7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?

I finally have my dream job. And since my first day, I do what I believe in !

8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?

Seriously ? That mean that I still have 4 years to live ? Well, I keep it that way and  damn what I wouldn't have had time to do.

9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken?

I don't know if I have really controlled my life, otherwise I would have left my previous job a long time ago and we would have left our previous apartment a long time ago.

10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?

I still want to do the right things right. But unlike 11 years ago, I have more confidence in myself, I have more support and therefore it is easier.

11. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do?

Why could they ? If I can be sure that this close friend would do the same for me, maybe I would defend he / she. But anyway, I listen, maybe they are right...

12. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be?

Life is a bitch. Good luck.

13. Would you break the law to save a loved one?

Honestly, it depends who this person is, and what she/he did. Remember that I still have four years to live !

14. Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity?

Let me think.

15. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

I can touch my nose with my tongue.

16. How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy?

Because I like not to do like everyone else, contradiction spirit!

17. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back?

Tell them fuck off ? I think tht some people need to hear it. Why I didn't do it ? Respect I guess.

18. Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?

To be honest, my burn-out last year allowed me to stop feeling guilty about many things, to sort things out and to move forward. The past is in the past, and so much the better.

19. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?

That would be Scotland or US.

20. Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?

 Of course I do, don't you ?

21. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?

Both at the same time.

22. Why are you, you?

Because I don't want to be like the others.

23. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend?

I don't know. I just hope I'm a good friend.

24. Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you?

Losing touch, especially when you don't know why.

25. What are you most grateful for?

My life and family.

26. Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?

Losing the old ones. And to be honest, I would love to lose some of them !

27. Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first?

Yes. But do we all need to know all the truth ?

28. Has your greatest fear ever come true?

I still don't know what my greatest fear is, but some of them yes. I lost some people, my lovely dog passed away, I made a burn-out, I lost a lot. But this is the past for me now.

29. Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now?

January 8 2017. Yes, probably some real shit at work. I was already doing the job of 4 people by myself. Why did I stay there so long ?

30. What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special?

Probably hours of play, or cooking.

31. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?

Everyday at work ?

32. If not now, then when?

Maybe tonight. One of my clients is supposed to be on TV...

33. If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose?

Nothing. But let me tell you that I recently achieved a lot of things !

34. Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever?

No. Or I don't remember.

35. Why do religions that support love cause so many wars?

Because we are stupid.

36. Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil?

No. Look at me, I am both !

37. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job?

No. I waited for too long to finally find my place !

38. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?

 More ! More ! More !

39. Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before?

It happens sometimes yes.

40. When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in?

Last year, when I applied for the job !

41. If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today?

The british friends.

42. Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous?

No.

43. What is the difference between being alive and truly living?

Being alive was before I quit. Truly living is now, I love wht I do, I feel good, I enjoy every moment.

44. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?

All the time ?

45. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?

Don't worry, I'm not afraid anymore !

46. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?

Nothing. I don't mind what the other think.

47. When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing?

I don't know. Maybe when I was working out ?

48. What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love?

I love a lot of things. And I think that all my recent successes are a proof of that love.

49. In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that?

Honestly, I don't know.

50. Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?

I do everything for me ! It's my moment !

Happy 2022

La panique me prend car ils me font attendre encore et encore...
