Breathing Deep...

Today we hit the big 60
(degrees that is)....

For the first time,
it felt like spring!
it smelled like spring!

glorious and sweet...

(click photos to enlarge)

morning sun on a hyacinth
with another happy garden rabbit...

it was a frosty spring morn
the frost had just melted when I arrived outside...
(I am not an early riser :-)

The Primrose are producing
sweet untattered blooms...

the first ladybug I have seen this year
came out to bask in the sun...

and along came a fuzzy spider
to sit down beside her....

the are little bits of this and thats around
like this first English Daisy
beginning to unfurl...

the still nameless white flowers...

the first Grape Hyacinths popped open...

Sedum bursting up like green roses...

I keep a big patch,
because it's good to be good to the bees :-)

the climbing Eden Rose
is crawling toward the blue skies...

it will still take quite awhile
to have roses...

one of the most exciting plants to unfurl this week
is the King Edward Currant.

It usually opens in late February,
it is a major source of spring food for the Anna's Hummingbirds
and they are a buzz with delight...

Oh what a joy spring is....

I am joining,
Tracie at Fishtail Cottage

Thanks for joining me today!

That currant is beautiful, and the flower underneath it. (I'm glad you clarified the meaning of 60, I thought going by your profile picture, you are really aging well- I should add I'm sure you are anyway lol)

Hugs,
Lisa xx

We must have been close to 60 as well today. Your roses are a little farther along than mine but my hyacinths are blooming! I was in such a spring mood that I stopped by our local nursery/greenhouse on the way home from work just to get a "fix" ;)

I am so happy spring is here, even for a day!

Now that is what I call spring! Love the first photo with the morning sun shining on it and I'm always a sucker for emerging sedum growth. Thanks for letting me escape the sleet hitting our windows here in NJ!

Such lovely spring photos. It feels like spring at your place, but it feels like winter here in CA again. The weather outside is cold and rainy, so boring.

The hyacinths and sedums are my favorites here I think. All flowers are beautiful, though. I've started using sedums in my flower beds and love the looks of them. So pretty.

Hi Bella
Your pictures are beautiful how nice to see such lovely flowers....and a little ladybug too. The droplets of water on the flowers showed up so nicely on your pictures. I just can't wait until we have pretty flowers again...it really continues to be so winter like but it has to change soon. Lucky you for having the temps up so high! We were under 32F thats for sure...
hope you've had a great weekend.
