Blue Sky to Lake Poway

One of the hikes we took while Mom was slacking off on blogging was at Blue Sky Ranch.

This was a group hike with one of the Meetup Groups we belong to, and as always it was a lot of fun! Mom likes these hikes cuz there are always new dogs for me to meet, and practice my good behavior!

While in the parking lot, all of a sudden a TON of Greyhounds started arriving. It was like a Greyhound parade!

The day was gorgeous. Not too warm and not too cool.

This odd looking dog was out on the trail with his (her?) owner. The thing looked like a mop!! BOL! Mom said it was called a Puli. We don't see those types of dogs very often and everydoggy was very curious.

The tiniest hiker of course was Mimi. She always amazes everyone with how she can keep up with the big dogs.

Ahhh. Even though dogs aren't really allowed in the water, Mom snuck me in to cool off a bit. Boy did that feel good!

It was another great day with some old furriends and new furriends.

Holy cow! its been way too long!!

Seriously, Mom needs to get off her butt and get back to blogging. Sorry about the huge gap in our updates, most of our stuff goes on to Facebook now so Mom has gotten very lazy about updating my blog.

Over the next few weeks I'll try to get her to fill you in on what's been going on since we last posted. Nothing too exciting, just the usual day in & day out routine.

For now, here's a few pictures Mom took on Thursday. Its been super hot and muggy here in Sandy Eggo. We've had a chance of thunderstorms for the last week, but all that seems to have brought is some beautiful clouds.

Thursday was particularly hot, and since we don't have A/C Mom loaded me up to spend the evening near the beach. She was hoping for a good sunset and was not disappointed!

Sycamore Canyon

February's monthly Leash Your Fitenss hike was so much fun, and boy did we have a great big turnout!

Lots of my regular friends came out, but so did a bunch of new ones! Its always fun meeting new friends!

We did a new trail that I'd hadn't been on before. Mom had mountain biked here a long time ago...but she never took me to hike here. Sycamore Canyon Open Space Preserve is beautiful, and only about 20 minutes from the house. We should hike here more often!!

It was a gorgeous day for a February. A little on the warm side, so we started early to beat the heat.

Guess who I got to see again!?! Snapdragon!! She was adopted by some friends of ours and is thriving! She has a brother & a sister dog, and two sister cats. Here's a picture of her with her big sister Marci...her brother Andi is in the back of Marci but you can't really see him. Doesn't she look great?

Snapdragon (now called Luna) was SO happy to see me (and Mom too). She started yelping and crying like crazy when she spotted me, and when we got to hike off leash she stuck right next to me. It was the sweetest thing!

We had so much fun! Running thru the fields...and there was no one else out there so it was great!

A number of years ago there was a big fire that came thru and burned the old Ranch House that was on the property. They've since build another one, but they are still trying to figure out what to do with the old structure. It was pretty cool.

I got lots of kisses from Luna!

Luna & her new family

Another fun day, and I was exhausted by the time we got home. I love my Leash Your Fitness family!
